miles on their personal account can now change the departure date of an upcoming flight by using bonus miles instead of having to pay the obligatory cash fee!
Mileage Categories
All miles credited to your account will be divided in Club-Miles and Bonus Miles. The total of Club Miles and Bonus Miles may be used for an award.
Club Miles
Club-Miles may be used for awards and towards qualification for Classic and Premium status, and are awarded for travel when flying on a:
- UIA operated scheduled flight (PS flight code)
- Code-share flight operated by another airlines providing the flight is booked under the ‘PS’ flight code
- UIA operated charter flight (till December 31st 2009)
Bonus Miles
Bonus- Miles may be used for awards, but do not count towards Classic and Premium status, and are awarded for:
- Travel on flights operated by a partner airlines
- Services provided by other partners (hotels, credit cards, rent-a-car)
- Special Offers (e.g. double miles)
